Slow Travel

One place, properly. Nothing to catch up with.

The real problem

What slow travel actually needs

Some trips shouldn't have an itinerary at all — one base, a few good drives, and long empty afternoons.

That still takes planning: the right base is the whole trip.

Especially suited to

  • Recovery trips
  • Writers and readers
  • Couples
  • Long stays

What we plan for

The details that decide how the trip feels

  • One base

Chosen for the view and the quiet.

  • Optional days

    Suggestions, not schedules.

  • Short drives

Nothing over an hour unless it's worth it.

  • Local food

    Places worth walking to.

  • Reading weather

Season chosen for calm, not crowds.

  • No pressure

    Missing something is allowed.

How we plan

From your first message to the road

  1. 01

    Tell us your idea

Even a half-formed one. A destination and rough dates is enough to start.

  2. 02

    We understand your needs

Who's travelling, what matters, what you'd rather avoid.

  3. 03

    We shape the itinerary

Route, pacing, stays and transport, built around your group.

  4. 04

    You review & refine

Change anything. Plans should fit you, not the other way round.

A couple photographed together among greenery on their anniversary trip to Kerala

Kerala

“The journey, not the arrival, matters.” — T.S. Eliot. We wanted to celebrate the journey of our 20 years of togetherness and what can be the best way to do it than going on a vacation. So this time we choose the God's own country (Kerala). The moment we think of vacation we think of JP Travels. They had curated our earlier vacation too, so for us it was just packing our bags and hopping on to the flight. The rest of the arrangements were all looked after by them. The drive from the time we landed at Cochin to the time we headed back home was a very comfortable one with a cool driver who showed us all the places and also explained things to us with utmost patience. The resorts that we stayed in had all the amenities and was a comfortable stay. All in all it was an awesome and memorable vacation. The feather on the cap was the cake that was delivered to us on our anniversary as a special surprise which made our day all the more special. All thanks to Ms. Vimala and JP travels.

North India & Kerala

Hi Vimala, You were so great at organizing our trips to both North India and Kerala. We had a wonderful time and saw a lot of really cool places. We also got to learn a lot about Indian history! Not only were our guides and accommodations amazing, but you went above and beyond in caring for my family. You helped my grandparents completely reorganize their itinerary on a dime after they fell sick. You turned what could have been a disaster into a very successful adventure. We really appreciate how you made sure they were always cared for whether we were by their side or across the country from them. I would recommend your service to anyone traveling within India!
Kevin and Ida photographed together while sightseeing in Hyderabad

Hyderabad

We planned to visit Hyderabad for the first two days of the India v England cricket test match. We decided on staying for six days in order to see something of the rest of Hyderabad. We were able to cover all the prominent places in Hyderabad. We particularly enjoyed seeing the Charminar, Chowmahalla Palace and the Qutb Shahi Tombs which were in a truly remarkable state for 17th century Royal tombs. Ramoji Film City was fascinating, but we realised we could never match the moves shown by the dancers. Our first guide, Vijay was very knowledgeable and helpful to us. Hyderabad should be on the tourist trail for foreign visitors to India. Thank you for your help Vimala, we have really appreciated all the effort that has gone into giving us an enjoyable and special time in Hyderabad.
